2017 – 2018 Performances & Events
November 19, 2017 –  Our Lady of the Angels Chapel at Charlestown Retirement Community

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with listening to the amazing sound of music performed by the Chamber Choir and our Youth Choir for the beautiful Charlestown Community located in Catonsville (713 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228). Please join us and experience the exquisite sounds of music and a fantastic debut for this year’s Youth Choir.  The concert will begin at 3 p.m.

December 3, 2017 –  An American Christmas at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bel Air

We start the holiday season featuring all three Deer Creek choral ensembles featuring the works arranged by Z. Randall Stroope, Gwyneth Walker, Mack Wilberg, and a few others ending with the combined choruses presenting their interpretation of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.  The concert will begin at 4 p.m.

February 18, 2018 –  St. James Episcopal Church in Monkton

The Chamber Choir will be performing at St. James.                Tickets costs are  as  follows:                                                             $20 – Adults;  $15 – Seniors (over 62); $5 – Child/Student.

February 24, 2018 –  Deer Creek Chorale Annual Fundraiser

Our Inform and Inspire Fundraiser will be held at the Hunt Valley Golf and Country Club.  The evening will include heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Guests will have the opportunity to stroll through our enticing collection of Silent Auction items while enjoying the wonderful performances by both the Chamber Choir and Youth Choir.  Could it get any better ?  YES, indeed it can !  The band Different Sisters will close the evening with an hour of music and dancing.  We can’t wait to see you there!

March 11, 2018 –  A Cappella Showcase at Perry Hall High School

Deer Creek Chorale presents our annual A Cappella Showcase featuring an evening of a broad variety of a cappella music styles including The Chromatics ~ a unique high-energy vocal band as well as Lustre Quartet ~ this talented group began their adventure together in 2005.  The concert will begin at 7 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10.00 per person or on our website.

March 19, 2018 –  Carnegie Hall !

Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living and selected singers from North America as well as the Deer Creek Chorale and Chamber Choir will be performing under the direction of Martha Banghart.

April 7, 2018 –  Maryland Young Voices Festival, St. Matthews Lutheran Church  in Bel Air

The Deer Creek Youth Choir has the privilege of hosting the statewide Young Voices Festival right here in Harford County!

This all-day annual festival brings together the top children’s and youth community choirs from across the state for a day full of music making and sharing.  Students will have the opportunity to work with acclaimed conductor, Melissa Keylock from the Princeton Girlchoir and American Boychoir.  Choirs will perform individually for each other as well as together in a group festival choir under the direction of Melissa Keylock.  The day culminates in a free concert with all choirs at 7 p.m.

May 6, 2018 –  Music for Living, North Harford High School

Our culminating 2017-18 season concert is a tribute to our past. We are partnering once again with Pennies for Peace to support building schools in the Middle East. World-famous composer/conductor Z. Randall Stroope joins us once again to lead us in Forest’s Requiem for the Living. More information and tickets coming soon!
