Performance & Event Dates Dates
Friday, September 8th: 6:30-8pm – Deer Creek Youth Choir Welcome Night for Singers and their Families, 6:30-8:00 p.m., Bethel Presbyterian Church. An opportunity to meet other singers and parents, receive your music binder for the fall, get measured for your DCYC uniform and learn more about DCYC!
Tuesday, September 12th: 5-6:30pm – First Rehearsal at Bethel Presbyterian Church.
Saturday, October 7th – DCYC performance at the Deer Creek Chorale “Farm to Fork” Dinner Fundraiser at Fawn View Farm (5329 Onion Rd. Pylesville, MD) Those wishing to stay for dinner must purchase tickets: http://farmtoforkdcc.brownpapertickets.com/
Saturday, October 14th: 9am-3pm – DCYC Fall Retreat at Bethel Presbyterian Church. A fun day of rehearsal, music and team-building games. This is an important day for both music learning, building friendships and choir camaraderie!
Sunday, November 19th: 4pm (3pm call) DCYC & DCC Chamber Choir Concert at Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral at Charlestown Retirement Community (711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD)
Sunday, December 3rd: 4pm – “An American Christmas” The DCYC will join the DCC as they kick off the holiday season with our annual Christmas Concert at St. Matthews Lutheran Church (1200 E. Churchville RD. Bel Air MD 21014). Ring in the holiday spirit with the Deer Creek Youth Choir! Tickets may be purchased here.
Saturday, April 7, 2018: DCYC is thrilled to HOST this year’s Maryland Young Voices Festival at St. Matthew Church in Bel Air. This All-day annual festival brings together the top children’s and youth community choirs from across the state for a day of music making and sharing. Students will have the opportunity to work with acclaimed conductor, Melissa Keylock, from the Princeton Girlchoir and the American Boychoir. Choirs will perform individually for each other as well as together in a group festival choir under the direction of Ms. Melissa Keylock. The day culminates in a free concert with all choirs at 7pm.
Saturday May 5, 2018: 11am-3pm – Clinic with Randall Stroope followed by our DCYC Concert at Bethel Presbyterian Church at 2pm.
Sunday May 6, 2018: 4pm North Harford Performing Arts Center “The Music for Living” Spring concert featuring the Deer Creek Chorale, Handel Choir of Baltimore, and DCYC under the direction of guest composer & conductor, Randall Stroope. Tickets will be available on our website.
Saturday, May 12, 2018: 7:30pm DCYC Spring Concert “All Things Bright and Beautiful” – Chestnut Grove Presbyterian Church, 3701 Sweet Air Rd, Phoenix, MD. Tickets $10 for Adults and $5 for Students and may be purchased on the website.
Tuesday, May 15, 2018: 5-6:30pm DCYC Open House – Invite your friends and fellow singers to come and see what DCYC is all about! Join us for singing, games & and an ice cream social. Parents of interested singers are also encouraged to attend for an informational parent meeting.
