01/12/2022 – DCYC Rehearsal Tomorrow – VIRUTAL

Dear DCYC Families,

I hope you are all doing well!  I am so excited to get started with our spring semester and to see all of our singers.  While I want nothing more than to see them all in person tomorrow, we have made the decision to switch to a virtual rehearsal for tomorrow night.  There are many families, staff included, that are currently getting over illness.

While I would much rather be in person, there are definitely benefits to being virtual (the kids always LOVE it) –  it’s a great opportunity for the kids to see everyone’s face and learn names – and we are excited to have a few new faces joining us this spring!

Rehearsal times will be the same as they would be in person:

Most of our singers received new music at our last Thursday rehearsal at Bethel, prior to our November concert.  If your child was not at that rehearsal, I’m attaching a PDF of parts of the songs we will be learning tomorrow in rehearsal.  ALL singers would need to print A Million Dreams – as it was not handed out in December.  If you are able to print them off for your singers beforehand that would be great!   I will also plan to screen share in case singers do not have a printed copy.

Please let me know if you have any problems or questions.  I know this is not how we wanted to start the spring semester, but I’m hoping it will just be this week and we can all be back together in person next week.  We have been so lucky so far this year, and I think it’s better to play it safe right now.
