2/17/2023 – Friday Missive

Happy Friday, all!

Thanks for giving such a great effort at this week’s rehearsal. We were rather “thin” due to abounding sickness, trips, family obligations, and automotive issues, but we made it work! I’m especially proud of the progress we made through most of the Credo. We didn’t get to focus on the last few pages as much as I’d hoped, so please be sure to spend a little extra time with your learning files starting at letter G on p. 46 (about 6:30 on the learning file).

I fully intended to record Michael leading us in the Sunrise Mass for our social media pages, but I got totally sucked in as soon as he began and forgot about it. What a privilege to be under his direction! As a reminder, some of his students will be joining us in future weeks, so our seating arrangement might get a little more flexible.

For next week, we will continue to focus on the Haydn Credo and The City in Sunrise Mass. We’ll also be indulging ourselves in some nostalgia with “The Blue Ridge”, so make sure you bring it. See you then!
