Marty and Wayne,
As I continue to peak through the commissioned piece, and as I imagine you expected, there are some changes I’d like to make. I’ve tried to wait until I have a more complete list so that I don’t inundate you with changes every time I think of something I want to change! Nevertheless, here is round 1:
M. 199-204: Please note the attached pages that include added text where I had left it empty pending additional text from Glen (MM. 199-204). I have added Glen’s additional texts here and it includes some slight variations on the notes and rhythm. You might want to simply have singers reprint these on their own and insert (and then re-staple), but I think it could also be written in without being too complicated.
M. 213: last note of soprano and tenor should be changed to a C-natural instead of B-flat
M. 213: there should be a tie on the bass note into the downbeat of m. 214.
M. 326 & 347: Please add tenutos on each note in this measure. It will be important not to rush through it, so I might slow the tempo down slightly to allow sopranos especially to have a chance to take a breath after beat one, then move forward without it sounding too abrupt. This is the long way of saying everyone needs to watch me there, but I’m thinking the tenutos will get everyone’s attention.
