04/07/2020 – Has it really been a month ?

Good Evening Folks,

I hope this missive finds you well and making the most of your new lifestyle. I have really enjoyed your communiques with me about your activities, thoughts and suggestions for music listening. They keep me going.

Lots of fun things on the horizon. At this point, 46 folks have registered from the DCC including friends from Canada and Wales and Arian! If you have registered, you should have received a greeting from Danny with all the info you need to get started. If you haven’t registered yet, please do so before the end of the week. I have sent you a link to our performance on youtube and posted on facebook. When I watched it today, I must admit that I started weeping. Ray didn’t know what had come over me but he knew as soon as he heard the choir.

I submitted two videos to ACDA for their virtual concert halls project. Here is the info from Don:

Marty, our videos are now on the ACDA Virtual Concert Halls at
https://acda.org/repertoire/virtual-concert-halls/
They are setup as playlists with about 5 to 7 choirs in each category.

And here is a recommendation from David Dasch if you haven’t already heard it. When the Choir comes in, again I lost it! Ode to Joy.

And a note from Sharon Kachur:

Many thanks to the seven DCC women and their fifteen friends who are busy preparing materials and sewing face masks for Johns Hopkins.  Today, we delivered the first 100!  The quest to produce 500,000 face masks goes on …. Johns Hopkins will let us know when to “stand down.”

And we are still at it!!! It is not too late to join in. Please contact Sharon if you can help.

That is it for me. I am learning patience from attempting a 500 piece puzzle, enjoying daily walks surrounded by the “Wonders of Nature’s Beauty” and dreaming of a NEW DAY.

Stay well, stay safe, show kindness and keep singing!

Virtual hugs,
Marty
