04/25/2022 – Good post-concert morning!
To my amazing singers,
I could not start the day before sending you a note of appreciation, awe, love and excitement for what our future holds. Yesterday’s concert was a long time coming with many obstacles in its path. So many folks worked so hard to make it happen! Quite frankly, last week when I tested positive for Covid, I felt incredibly dejected and discouraged thinking that I might not even be a part of it. But our odyssey ended yesterday with the most spectacular performance which I don’t think any of us will ever forget. The orchestra, the soloists, the incredibly engaged audience, the volunteers, your board, the kids in DCYC, Wayne, Danny and Mozart provided us with an off-the-charts experience.
When you get a chance, please watch the video that I took yesterday which we were hoping you would see before the concert. I just watched it again and it brought me full circle to why we are all so blessed to be choral artists. And you proved yourself yesterday that indeed, you are!
I am taking Danny for a morning walk and then he heads to Washington for a concert with his cadets. Ray and Treble head south tonight leaving me to a quiet house. I look forward to being together tomorrow night at Ebeneezer. We have a lot to celebrate. And do share comments from audience members who you brought to the concert. I have already had some notes which I will share.
Have a lovely day. Get out in nature and reflect on our Mountains, Forests and Rivers.
Proudly,
Your very proud director
