04/26/2021 – DCC – Virtual Concert Recording – Tuesday, April 27
Hello all,
Just another reminder that we will be meeting one last tomorrow night to record the DCC portion of the virtual spring concert. Please arrive at 6:45 for a temperature check and to pick up your corsage/boutonniere, then go to your seat to put them on. There is no need to submit another waiver form if you brought one last week.
Our agreement with St. Ignatius is that only DCC singers and staff will be in attendance. Please do not bring guests with you tomorrow night. Rather, encourage them to watch our virtual spring concert online when it goes live in May. Date and time will be announced soon.
The following are reminders of information already shared.
From Marty –
- All black, singer mask which was made for you by Hope and her team!!!
- Black folder-Wake, Viva, Roots, Hope, Water, How, Hand. Please be practicing and keep Hope moving!!!! Every one of these pieces speaks to the times. Let’s give them all we got!!!
- Report at 6:45, temp, pick up corsage (special thanks to Hope and Mary Sue for making us beautiful) and take place from rehearsal. Tenors and basses are forward.
- Piano will be amplified which should help us stay in tune.
- Rob, our host, does not close up until 9 so we do have some wiggle room time wise.
- Warm up on your way to the church (sirens, bubbles, solfege patterns).
Location – St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Hickory, 533 E Jarrettsville Rd, Forest Hill, MD 21050
Date & Time – Tuesday, April 27. Temperature checks cannot begin until 6:45. Don’t come earlier but be there in enough time so that we can begin exactly at 7:00!
Expectations – We have indicated to St. Ignatius that we will be following their guidelines for using their facility in addition to our own as follows.
- Designated entrance and exit to and from the sanctuary.
- Temperature checks at the entrance directing any of our singers who show up with an elevated reading to return home.
- Avoid any physical contact with each other.
- Individual placement in the sanctuary maintaining at least 6′ social distancing.
- No congregating/socializing in the sanctuary or adjacent areas. Take any visiting with each other outdoors with proper social distancing.
- Participants will wear masks that cover mouth and nose for the entire time they are inside. (Please wear your DCC singer’s mask.)
Facility Conditions – St. Ignatius resumed in-person services in the sanctuary last May, following the guidelines of the CDC and
Maryland State Health Department and there have been no reported issues. He describes additional measures as follows.
- The Church buildings have been sprayed with a protective coating for all bacteria and viruses and was recently tested for continued effectiveness. This protectant is used in hospitals, operating rooms, schools, and many other high contact/traffic areas.
- The air handling equipment in the sanctuary cycles the air in the room every 23 to 25 minutes and is filtered several times. Additionally, the air receives an ultraviolet burst before being pushed into the room.
- The pews are roped off and have marked spots for six foot distancing.
- The bathrooms are cleaned every day, sometimes more often, with the best cleaners that are confirmed to kill 99.9% of all viruses and bacteria.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Wayne
