06/17/2021 – Checking in on this beautiful morning!!

I hope you are all well and enjoying this lovely weather. Even the cicada chorus is waning. Been quite a phenomenon!!

Wanted to update you on DCC activities as we approach our 15th Anniversary season. Exciting stuff.

•Registration form is now available on our website. For music ordering purposes, please register soon. It will be most helpful for planning purposes.

•Our Spring virtual concert was a huge success. Please keep sharing, listening and being proud of our accomplishment!!!

•Have had a zoom meeting with our volunteers for the October 2 event with another meeting on Monday. Thank you Kathy Browning for spearheading this committee and our volunteers. Make sure October 2 is on your calendar.

• presently attending the Chorus America virtual conference and hearing many inspirational stories and learning about future rehearsal strategies and collaboration possibilities.

• this past Sunday the board of directors met for an afternoon retreat to discuss the governance, finances and strategic plan going forward. We are so blessed to have dedicated leadership and volunteers to guide us.

• our DCYC is growing!!!! Julie has auditioned 11 new kids and have more scheduled. Do Spread the word about this amazing opportunity. And they are planning a tour in the Spring which will land them at Carnegie to cheer us on!!!

• at this point we have 43 registered for Carnegie. Folks can sign up until September 15 th. Join us for this unforgettable music experience.

• be on the look out for a video featuring the Ladies Six which was professionally filmed this past Tuesday night  at Starbright , drone and all. Should be released July 4th.

• your artistic staff continue to meet and coordinate repertoire and concert dates and venues. The finalized calendar will be available soon.

• Yesterday Wayne sent out info on an opportunity to get you back in shape for the Fall. Please seriously consider taking advantage of this free opportunity.

So as you can see, much is happening and I am optimistic that our upcoming season will be a joyful return to singing together and creating musical magic!!!
