08/02/2021 – DCYC Registration – NOW OPEN!

We are excited to announce that registration for the 2021-2022 Season is now open on the Youth Choir Member page of our website!  We will be working hard this season to use this Youth Choir Member page as a place to find all important DCYC information.  Our amazing admin, Melissa Sweeney, has been updating the notes section with every e-mail so it will serve as an archive for any info that was previously shared.

• Visit www.deercreekchorale.org
• Click on the menu icon in the top left and select Members Login “Youth Choir”. – The username and password are both “youthchoir“
• The link to Member Registration is on the right hand side of the page.
• Singers will need a teal t-shirt and formal concert attire this year, which can be purchased through the registration form.
• In addition to our online registration, all singers must bring a signed copy of our Commitment and Release Form to the first rehearsal. (Attached)

2nd-5th graders will sing with our Jubilate Choir – Thursday | 5:15-6:30pm

6th-9th graders will sing with our Vivace Choir – Thursday | 6:45-8pm

Jubilate and Vivace will perform both separately and as the combined Deer Creek Youth Choir.  This allows for both older and younger singers to collaborate, learn and perform together.

On selected* Thursdays throughout the year, we will have COMBINED REHEARSALS from 6:15-7pm for ALL SINGERS.  Jubilate singers will stay 30 minutes longer, and Vivace singers will arrive 30 minutes earlier.

Deer Creek Youth Choir continues to monitor the COVID-19 Pandemic.  We will be holding rehearsals inside this year, and we strongly encourage masks for our unvaccinated singers.  A full list of protocols are attached.

 

All new singers will need a Teal DCYC T-shirt as part of our informal concert attire.  We will need this t-shirt VERY soon for our performance at the Ironbirds Game. Please submit your sizes here by Thursday August 5th.

 

We are excited to welcome assistant director, Emalyn Bullis, to our artistic team!  Emalyn is the music teacher at Bel Air Elementary School and sings with the Deer Creek Chorale & Ladies Six.  She will be a wonderful addition to DCYC – Ms. Cindy and myself are so happy to have her with us!

We are also thrilled to have Deer Creek Chorale High school singers, Emily Brock (DCYC Alum!) and Lila Straight, joining us as DCYC Interns this fall! It’s going to be a great year!
