09/17/2021 – Friday Missive relaunched!!!
Dear folks,
What a joy it was to see so many of you on Tuesday night, our first “real” rehearsal in 19 months. And I am anticipating more of you this Tuesday as you return from vacationing. We have many new singers, both young and “mature” which fact always makes me happy. And to have three graduates of the DCYC makes my heart flutter!!!! After all, they are the future of choral singing and of the DCC!
Now for some very important reminders/announcements.
1. Get your tickets NOW for our anniversary celebration on October 2. Please spread the word through email, text and your social media platforms. The committee has been working SO hard to make our 15th truly special. We had another meeting last night and so many surprises in store for our guests. AND the event is outside so we can all enjoy and put Covid worries on the back burner. Let’s make it a sell-out!!!!
2. Make sure you print a copy of The Earth Provides for our Tuesday rehearsal. It can be found on the member page/google drive/music folder. If you can not print yourself, please let Melissa know. There is a small charge. And if you have trouble accessing, please contact Wayne.
3. We will be sticking close to the syllabus so be sure to have your music in a folder, sharpened pencil, hydration and a mask. All new folks receive a singers mask thanks to Hope!!!
4. Anniversary T-shirts are now available. I LOVE mine. I even bought 2 since I wear them so many places. And invariably someone will comment which often leads to a lively conversation. Went to a new restaurant called Local on Wednesday and because of my shirt, connected with folks I hadn’t seen in years. It is magic!!!
