09/30/2022 – Look for the silver lining!
Dear friends,
Firstly, let me thank all of you who have reached out to Ray and me during this very difficult time. Watching our beautiful Sanibel on TV has been heartbreaking and unfortunately our house has not escaped major damage. Today we were able to see that the roof is partially off. Since no one can get to the island, this does not bode well.
Secondly, I am very sorry that our special event had to be canceled but just not worth risking with the weather predictions. So many have worked so hard, and I am so grateful. Also, to those of you who bought tickets or were waiting until tomorrow. Our hope is to reschedule so that we can bring the event to fruition.
And in conclusion, my silver lining is you all! The DCC organization is truly special. I have so enjoyed our first two rehearsals and cannot wait to see you all on Tuesday. Please check your syllabus to see what we will be doing and prepare accordingly. Lots of exciting things are on the horizon and I look forward to sharing them with you.
