01/15/2021 – Marty’s Missives – Important Friday Missive

Hello friends,

I am SO excited to kick off our Spring semester on Sunday with a meet and greet from 2-3. Bundle up because we will be outside. Wear your mask which keeps the face warm. Please bring non-perishable food items for the Mason-Dixon Community Services. In exchange, Melissa will be giving out music and a copy of the new syllabus and will take any new in-person registration forms. Hope Ledebur will distribute unclaimed singer masks and Gunpowder/DCC T-shirts. And if you would rather stay in the car, we can deliver to you! We aim to please. Do hope to see many of you on Sunday!!!

Wayne and I are most jazzed about our first virtual rehearsal on Tuesday at 7:00. You do not want to miss it. Get ready to laugh, get chills, be inspired, meet new people and sing with abandon. Everything you need to know is on the member page of the website. Password dcc/dcc. Wayne will send out the zoom link which is the same one as the past.

Thursday Julie started in-person DCYC rehearsals at Bethel. The kids were so excited to be there. I applaud Julie’s efforts to bring the kids together while adhering to all safety precautions. We are so fortunate to have our young people engaged and singing with one voice. Music unites, not divides and we need that more than ever.
