01/22/2021 – Marty’s Missives – Laugh this morning!

Good morning friends,

Couldn’t resist sharing this. Made me giggle!!!

We had such a restorative rehearsal on Tuesday with a record 55 tuning in. Couldn’t fit everyone on the screen. Had to rotate. It was so wonderful seeing your smiling faces!!! Good singing too!! I imagine you singing with beautiful vowels, crisp diction, legato line and spirited energy. Sorry for some of the tech issues but the internet can be inconsistent. And Randall’s pep talk! What an amazing human being. He is thrilled that we are singing his In Paradisum.

Now for some preparations for Tuesday.

Warm up this week with 1, 2 and 5 and How great is the Pleasure. Check your solfege and count singing.

Review Roots. We will be singing this in person in the future so want to keep it fresh.

Danny will be presenting directions for How Can I keep. Please be ready to take notes. Then we will sing through twice. It will go slower and more rubato spots but do not have the final recording yet.

Thank you to all folks who contributed to the Mason Dixon Community services. We had 48 at our meet and greet. Melissa will be contacting those who did not get the new music.

Please keep Blair and his wife Nancy in your thoughts and prayers. They both have Covid and Blair is in the hospital. Will keep you updated. ?
