10/11/2024 – Exciting weekend!!!

Dear folks,

Firstly, I want to thank you for your concern about our house in Sanibel. This time we were spared and except for lots of water and no power, the house is in intact. Ray will go down on Monday to assess the damage and start the cleanup. Once again, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I think they were answered.

Good work this past Tuesday although I was very surprised that the Gershwin fell flat!  I am sure it won’t this week because you will get into the groove! We are right on target but as soon as we start repeating pieces, more emphasis will be placed on syllabic stress, text, dynamics and all those elements which transform the piece into a work of art.

Tomorrow is a big day for our organization. I want to thank everybody who has contributed to making this an extra special event. Whether you have contributed food, items for the auction, invited friends, set up and decorated, made a donation-so much time and treasure have been expended. I have included pictures from today and I look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow!

Another opportunity to support our choral family is to come to the Roland Park women’s club for a free concert on Sunday at 4:30.
And on top of it all, what fabulous weather! We are blessed.
Excitedly,
Marty
