11/19/2021 – Important Announcement
Dear folks,
It is with mixed emotions that I share with you Danny McDavitt’s exciting news. He has been a huge supporter of the DCC family since 2015 and for that, we are hugely blessed. Who could ever forget our Music and Memory concert at Goucher!!!
Danny has accepted the position of the music director at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Ct. where he will have a glee club of 60 and men and women ensembles. He will travel the world making music with amazingly smart and dedicated students and has a couple joint projects in mind for us. His wife Jenika will pursue her doctorate at Yale once they are settled with their two young children.
He will be “reporting to duty” in January but will be conducting as planned for our two Spring concerts. He will be sorely missed but so deserves this opportunity. At least he is on the East Coast!!!
Danny and Jenika will be at our concert. Wanted you all to know the news so you could congratulate him!!
