10/10/2025 – Are you ready to move?
Dear singers,
I love to warm up!!! Wish we had more room to move, but I bet you don’t! Rehearsal is my Roomba class!
I loved Tuesday from start to finish! There were moments in the rehearsal that were simply beautiful, but then there were others which reminded me of the work we need to do! Always listen to each other! Keep working on uniform vowels and using your core Breath to produce beautifully produced tones and constantly tell stories through precise diction and dynamics! Use your articulators.
Thank you to all who brought goodies for our harvest party and for Melissa and Mary Sue specifically for setting up. It was great to have so many of you stay and mingle and meet new folks. I think the pictures that were posted on Facebook tell it all. Big smiles And multi-generations! That’s what DCC is all about. We learn from each other!

Very excited about the launch of our online auction. This is the only formal fundraiser that we have, and I encourage all of you to spread the word, share it with your social media contacts, friends, and family. Plan to do your holiday shopping and at the same time support your choral family. Our spring concert is going to be one of the most expensive that we have ever produced. We need everyone’s help in making it a reality! Special thanks to all of you who have contributed items and helped Melissa and Kris in some way. People have been working on this since May. Cannot wait for its launch on Sunday. It will run for three weeks. Let’s have some fun!
Thank you to all who have brought wine. We are good.
Please come join us at the immaculate heart of Mary Parish on October 19 at 4 PM. This is our first concert of the season and members of the chamber choir always love seeing their DCC friends in the audience.
And I hope to see many of you at our annual inform and inspire donor reception and fundraiser on October 26. We are very excited to have our dear friend Danny McDavitt as the guest speaker and his Coast Guard Academy cadets. All RSVPs are due by October 15.
Here’s wishing you a spectacular weekend and I look forward to another productive rehearsal!!
