3/28/2025 – Good morning!
Let us get lost in our practicing!!!
Warmups:
Solfege patterns, If ye love me, Great is Thy Faithfulness (drill pages 7 and 8), Nox
Christus Factus Est-meas 1-50
Finish Mozart. Isolate fast areas and drill words in rhythm. Look at patterns. So many octaves, repeated notes and unisons. Study score and underline syllabic stress and observe unaccented syllables. Sing with the performance on the learning files. Notice how light and dance like it is. And a bit slower.
Saturn-run twice with descant
Let all the World-it is dramatic but not heavy. All about breath support.
Sing out my Soul to end.
Reminders:
No rehearsal on April 15th
Ebb and Flow April 5 at Manor Mill
Lindsay Nuesca recital March 29th, 7pm at Goucher Chapel
Special note. Thanks to all for your inquiries about Miriam and Cliff. Miriam reports that things have stabilized and God willing, she will sing with us next season. She needs to have surgery on her hip. We continue sending our love and prayers her way.
Nine folks will be delivering our medical bags to the Project C.U.R.E. Distribution center on April 5th. Should be very interesting and thank you.
And a report on Ray. He is halfway through his treatments. He begins radiation on his spine today. He has a great attitude and has maintained a sense of humor! We both appreciate your continued support and prayers.
Here’s wishing you a wonderful weekend. Sit out in the sun now that it’s warming up and practice your music. It is very therapeutic and will make for a joyful Tuesday night!
AND CONGRATULATIONS to the tenor section for perfect attendance last week. You all blew us away!
Stay well, wash your hands, be kind and see you soon.
Musical hugs,
Marty
