9/29/2023 – Important info on this Friday morning!!

My mighty singers,

I hope you have had a good week. Rehearsal on Tuesday was intense but we got a lot done. A lot more to do, especially on the Stroope piece. We are scheduled to finish that piece this week but you need to make it happen with some serious practice beforehand.

This is a busy week for the DCC organization. Saturday from 8:20 to 8:50, the DCYC will be performing at the Bel Air farmers market. I know they would love our support and at the same time, good shopping. On Sunday at 3 PM at Oak crest, retirement community, the chamber choir will have its first concert of the season. We wish them all luck!

Have you gotten your tickets yet? A big thank you to those who have contributed auction items and wine. Donations are still being accepted. I can’t thank our committee enough for all the hard work they are doing on our behalf and of course, Melissa! Get on board and be a part of our big event. Goal is 200 attendees and we are about a quarter of the way there. Invite, invite!!!

Now for Tuesday. Do NOT miss your chance to learn from Michael as he introduces and teaches Jubilate Deo. He will be conducting this at the concert. Please be prepared so he can rock you through this joyful selection!!

Warmups are Volume 1, 7-9 and With One Voice. Will concentrate on Stroope and Bernstein and auditions for We Gather. Let me know if you would like to audition.

That is it for now. Have a great weekend, stay well, practice hard and invite!!!!

Positively,
Marty
