DCC SERVES!

Giving to fill backpacks with school supplies for Camp Opportunity, stream walks to clear debris and learn how to be advocates for the health of the Gunpowder waterways with Gunpowder Riverkeeper, harvesting potatoes to support First Fruits Farm’s donation of over a million pounds of fresh produce each year for food banks. . . DCC members step up to the invitation to serve their community. It is inspiring to sing and work with such large-hearted people! Service and Singing intertwine as performance music speaks to both needs and resources of our community. . . “The Prayer of the Children”, “From Mountain to Forest to River”, “The Earth Provides”. The combination gives voice to need and opportunity and moves hands to serve and becomes a circle of blessing. Camp Sunrise believes no child or family should experience childhood cancer alone. Their mission is to provide joyful and nurturing camping experiences that foster confidence, friendship, and fun for children and families on their cancer journey. They are and are continuing to become a pathway of healing, hope, and lifelong well-being for children after childhood cancer.
