02/06/2020 – Raindy Day Missive

Hello folks,

Since I am housebound due to weather and my cold, I decided to write a day early. Firstly, David is still in the hospital and awaiting to hear about a possible pacemaker. Will keep you updated as I receive news. Keep him in your prayers.

We made it through the rehearsal in spite of my “challenges” and am pleased with our progress. Wayne shared the tape of The Mountains and it wasn’t bad for the first take. I will share Danny’s comments when I get them. Personally, think it is too slow and too heavy. Not enough dynamic contrast. Of course that is a tough place to tape but generally very useful.

Schedule for Tuesday:

Varied warm-ups taken from Sheet #2.
Wayne will introduce Let the River Run
Dig deeper into Pure River and Identity.
Revisit Alway Something Sings
Review everything so bring everything we have done so far!!!!!

If the rehearsal is sparkling and productive, a surprise may be in store for you!

Your committee chairs are looking for interested singers to serve as volunteers. If you are approached, please jump in. The committees are: Marketing (Sharon Bottcher), Community service(Patty Ballinger),  Membership/welcome/social (Meredith Leroy and Pete McCallum) Development (Lynn Moore and Cris Martin), Strategic Planning (Steph Davis) Fundraising (Kris Foster) Concert Committee (Wayne and Melissa) Join in the fun and help move YOUR organization forward into a new decade.

Keep sharing our story on facebook and send a “save the date” reminder to your friends and family for the March 22 and May 3 concerts.

That’s it from me. Stay well and have a great weekend. Cuddle up with your music and dream.

Grateful hugs,
Marty
