Membership Information

The Deer Creek Chorale draws talented vocalists from Harford and Baltimore Counties in Maryland and southern York County in Pennsylvania. The ensemble performs locally throughout the Baltimore Metropolitan area. National and international performances have included Carnegie Hall in New York City and The Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing, China.

Registration Information

Chorale

The Deer Creek Chorale is an 80+ member inter-generational choir ages 15 and up. Singers come from the greater Baltimore region: Baltimore and Harford Counties, Baltimore City and Southern PA.

Chamber Choir

The Deer Creek Chorale Chamber Choir is a select group of singers from the Deer Creek Chorale, devoted primarily to a cappella singing. The ensemble was organized in 2007 to perform at smaller venues and at a cappella events. Sixteen singers rehearse independently from the larger group at the director’s studio.

Youth Choir

Drawing members from Baltimore and Harford Counties, the Deer Creek Youth Choir (DCYC) is a community choir that inspires young singers to reach their full musical potential. DCYC is committed to developing each singer’s vocal technique, music literacy, performance discipline, self-esteem and ability to work well with others.

Scholarships

The Betty Banghart Scholarship Fund was established to support the development of musical talent in young people in either the Deer Creek Chorale (DCC) or the Deer Creek youth Choir (DCYC).
