04/11/2020 – Happy Easter and Read for Wonderful News!
Good evening dear friends,
I hope you are all staying well, safe and engaged in the world from another perspective.
I have some Easter blessings to share:
Lexi Ebsworth gave birth to a little girl, Cora Jean, on Thursday. She and Dave and the baby all doing well. Another singer added to our
ranks!
Under the leadership of Sharon Kachur, we now have four teams with over 28 involved making face masks for Johns Hopkins. Special thanks to Sharon, Christine Master, Lori Geckle and Mary Sue Shaw for spearheading this much needed effort. If anyone would like to join a team, please let Sharon know. Many hands will increase what we can do! I am sending a couple pics in a different email.
I was at Mary Sue’s cutting and marking and listening to Mozart this afternoon when my phone dinged. It was Randall hoping we were all well and thanking me for “what we do for our community and for the choral art.” I wrote him back and told about our activities since the virus hit and he responded “I see-as usual- that you are putting others in front of yourselves and making masks to help in any way possible. You are a diamond among rare gems. Say “hello” to everyone for me. And I WILL listen to Consecrate.” I just had to share this. I was moved to tears. An unexpected Easter gift for sure.
Here’s wishing you a faithful and meditative Holy Day and look forward to lifting our voices in song again, whenever that may be.
Positively,
Marty
