04/16/2021 – Marty’s Missives – Wake me a Song indeed!!!

For me, Tuesday night was magical in so many ways. Seeing you after this difficult isolation and hearing your collective voices was thrilling. The sectional split was effective and productive and I commend your preparation of the music. I know how difficult singing with a mask is and being so far apart but you made it work. I am so looking forward to Tuesday.

Now for reminders:

PLEASE support our fundraiser on April 22 at the Jarrettsville Creamery from 5-9pm. If you can’t stay for dinner, get some to-go items. And tell your family and friends. We receive 10% of anything purchased. And special thanks to our volunteers for greeting folks and circulating information about us.

April 20 rehearsal at St. Ignatius in Hickory. Please follow all protocols. Luianne and Kathy will be checking you in. Do not forget your release form. We are on a tight schedule. As you come into the sanctuary, Wayne will direct you. We need to begin  at 7pm so plan to start arriving by 6:45.

April 21, 7pm Chamber rehearsal in my driveway.

April 24, 9-11am Chamber and Ladies film shoot at Starbright.

As you can see, we are coming up on a very busy week. Feel so blessed to be moving forward!!! Can’t thank you enough for believing in me and the DCC team as we have navigated this difficult year. It has been a labor of love for the choral art.
