04/15/2022 – Concert week upon us.
Good morning folks,
I can’t believe our major concert is nine days away featuring professional orchestra, soloists, the sublime Requiem all under the baton of our friend Danny. It is so important that we pack the house. In a separate email I will once again send the poster that you can use as your personal invite. As I have said before, the hall seats 900 people and if our audience is only 200, it will seem empty. That would be a shame! I have no doubt that we will all work together to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Now for our schedule for next week. We will have a regular rehearsal on Tuesday at Bethel. Please bring all the music we have learned this semester and also the Ukrainian alleluia. This rehearsal will be bittersweet since it will be Wayne‘s last evening with us at Bethel. We will reconvene for rehearsals on September 13 which will mark the beginning of our 16th season.
April 21 from 7 to 8:30PM optional rehearsal with Danny and the DCYC.
April 22 7-10pm at Merrick Hall
April 23 10-1pm Merrick Hall
April 24 call time TBS. concert at 4pm
Sorry but they came out of order and I am scared to try to fix it. I already have lost this message once this morning. The order is 2,1,3.
April 26 6 PM at Ebenezer Methodist church – our annual membership dinner and meeting(we have been unable to have in three years. Our last one was in 2019). Many exciting things will be shared and we have lots to celebrate. Make sure you are signed up with Melissa. All of you received an invite and a sign-up genius opportunity to bring something to share.
Some special thanks. Firstly to Melissa for organizing and handling two concert tours with finesse, a big smile and expertise. Because of her hard work, the tours ran smoothly and everyone had a fabulous time. We are so blessed!
Also thanks to Sharon for designing a newsletter which gives an update of the board activities and plans for the future. We appreciate this communiqué going forward. If you did not get a copy this past Tuesday, please let Sharon know this week.
And thanks to the folks who have written reviews for our blog posts on the website. We invite all of you to share any exciting things with us to put on our homepage. Please check the website often for news and plans going forward.
Registration for next season will open on July 1. Please encourage folks that are interested in singing glorious music to join us. Plans for next season will be unveiled at the meeting on April 26.
