04/20/2022 – Update from Jolly Acres!

Good morning dear singers,

Firstly I want you all to know that I am FINE! It was a shock when Saturday evening , in preparation for the kids coming for Easter, Ray and I tested. He was negative and I was positive!!! I would never have known since I felt good. And I still do except for being cooped up which is alien to me.

It broke my heart not to be with you last night for Wayne’s last time at Bethel but maybe it was for the best since I would have been an emotional mess. Sounds like a lot was accomplished and much tweaking done. I will listen to the tape today. Could not even get on zoom since our internet was horrible.

Now our job is to get mentally and physically ready for the weekend. Danny arrives tomorrow and will do the rehearsal at Bethel at 7pm with the Vivace Choir and volunteers. Then Friday, report to Goucher by 6:45 with music, water and pencil. I will be there with a mask and I suggest everyone take their own precautions to stay safe. There will be plenty of room to spread out. We are going to be in spaces much bigger than Bethel.

While I have been idle, I have sent the poster to a myriad of folks and made many calls and it is paying off. Even got my tax preparer to come with her Mom and my doctor!!! PLEASE help make this a triumph for both Danny and our organization. So much work has gone into this project over the past 2.5 years. Let this be a celebration of how we have handled the challenges of these trying times ever singing with joy and service!!!
