08/30/2021 – DCYC Welcome Night & Picnic | Thursday 6:30-8pm!
Dear DCYC Families,
We are so excited to see all of our new and returning singers and their families this Thursday, September 2nd from 6:30-8pm at our DCYC Welcome Night!
Our picnic will take place in the driveway/grassy area behind the Bethel Presbyterian church office (red brick house just west of the church). This event will NOT be potluck this year, but BYO picnic dinner. We will have some frozen treats for dessert!
I know this is a very busy time of year, but our DCYC Welcome Night is extremely helpful to get many of the logistics and details out of the way so we can get right to singing at our first rehearsal on September 9th (next week!)! It’s also a great opportunity for singers (new and returning) to make a new friend before rehearsals start!

DCYC Welcome Night Schedule
From 6:30-7:15pm there will be multiple stations for singers and parents to visit:
- receive their 2021-2022 DCYC Chorus Binder & Music
- have their photo taken for our attendance board
- get sized for their formal concert attire (if needed)
- pick-up their teal DCYC t-shirt if they did not do so before the Ironbirds game last week.
- Turn in their singer’s Emergency Medical Form AND a signed copy of the DCYC Commitment & Release Form (both are attached)
- Pick up a DCYC Parent Folder
- Turn in any outstanding tuition payments
At 7:15pm, we will have a Meeting for singers and parents to go over important details for the 2021-2022 Season.
We will end the night with a few icebreaker games to help singers mix and mingle and make a new friend before rehearsals start next week!
