Reflections on The Chariot Jubilee

Reflections on The Chariot Jubilee

The Chariot Jubilee was a wonderful success. Special thanks to our guest conductors Stephen Holmes (Artistic Director, The Maryland State Boychoir) and Heidi Ackerman (Artistic Director, The Frederick Chorale). Collaborating with the singers of The Frederick Chorale allowed Deer Creek Chorale members to learn in new ways and broaden musical friendships. This was an incredibly special afternoon that won’t soon be forgotten.

Louise Ballard, audience member, shared this reflection with us:
No words!  No way to express anything more than the music and musicians did yesterday!  Without a doubt, DCC’s best concert ever!  That is saying something, isn’t it?  The tears and smiles said it all.  We, the audience, experienced an epic occasion.  Thanks to everyone for their part in this moving performance, including the three seasoned conductors who know how to touch the deepest soul of the music with the hearts of the willing singers and waiting audience alike. I will not just say “you did it again”. This was a precious gem, one of a kind!

Concert photographer Bo Willse said Accomplishments of that magnitude are rare and I salute you.

Thank you to everyone for your support! We will share the concert video on our website and YouTube channel when it is available.
