We Are the Music Makers – DCC Chamber Choir at St. James

Deer Creek Chorale presented We Are the Music Makers Sunday March 8, 2026 at 3 pm in St. James Episcopal Church in Monkton, Maryland under the direction of Martha Banghart.  As always, this group of voluntary, non-professional singers provided an outstanding concert. Their range of repertoire and the beauty of their voices continue to amaze and delight their audiences. Each voice is strong on its own, but when they perform as an ensemble, it is a smooth sound of unity. They sing with one voice. Soloists are applause worthy. Every concert delights.

Lori Geckle’s piano offering of Bach was a wonderful interlude beautifully presented. The final series, Illuminare, was a masterful rendition with harmonies that were magnificent.  Each performer appeared to be enjoying their role as much as the audience was enjoying the concert.
