With One Voice 2026 – An Afternoon of Community and Camaraderie
Our annual With One Voice choral festival took place this past weekend at Church of the Resurrection in Lutherville. It was an amazing afternoon bringing together singers of all ages, united in their love of music and community. Participating ensembles included: Deer Creek Youth Choir, Goucher Choral Society, Catonsville Middle School Festival Choir, Church of the Resurrection Choir, North Harford High School Treble Choir, The Maryland State Boychoir Young Men’s Chorus and Treble Choir and Deer Creek Chorale. The day concluded with a free concert showcasing each group individually and closing with three pieces performed together. The audience was fantastic and it was truly standing room only.
Sharon Bottcher, DCC Tenor, shared this:
“What I was most encouraged by is the quality of the youth ensembles. It gives me great hope for the future of choral singing in the Baltimore area. There is a new generation of teachers who, along with their parents, are giving kids the opportunity to study music and sing it with joy! You (Marty) have helped train many of them in your high school work. I am sure it did give you chills to see your former students with their own choirs give such quality performances. DCYC, of course, never fails to impress.”
We are so thankful for the connection that choral music brings and the unity of voices across the Baltimore region!
